7 Reasons To Book A Boudoir Photoshoot

Have you been on the fence about booking a boudoir photography experience? I hear so many clients say, I wish I would have done this sooner, and often it is because they were waiting until they had a reason to do the shoot. Welp I'm here to help with that. I have 7 reasons why you should go for it, and go for it now!

#7 You Are Gorgeous

It makes me sad when I hear people say, I would love to do a Boudoir photoshoot but I don't love the way I look. First of all, you are stunning. Let me say that one more time, you are stunning!! Everyone, and I mean everyone, has aspects of their body they don't "love", and that's okay. Boudoir is one way to help you fall in love with all of those bits and pieces again. So often I here from clients during the photoshoot (when I show them the back of my camera) "wow, that's what I really look like". And their "wow" isn't a, eww yikes kind of "wow" but an honest to goodness shock of how gorgeous they are. So if you are thinking you're not "model" enough for boudoir, trust me when I say you are gorgeous and it would be my honor to show you just how stunning you are!

#6 You Don't Have to Do it Alone

Boudoir can be as intimate as you want. Maybe you would be more comfortable booking a session with a friend, maybe you are leaning towards a couples shoot, or maybe you just want to bring along a cheerleader. All of that is welcome! Why not book with friends and turn a positive experience into a girls day out that benefits everyone. Every aspect of the shoot and what happens post shoot is what we discuss in a pre-session, so its okay to have questions, its okay to be on the fence. I'm here to help, and if you want a friend can be there too.

#5 To Celebrate a Milestone

When it comes to boudoir, majority of my clients are booking to celebrate something. This kind of goes hand in hand with number four. Maybe you're celebrating your upcoming wedding, maybe a milestone anniversary (like 5 years or 2 years, I believe in celebrating them all), maybe it's your birthday or maybe it's time to celebrate you for who you are today. Milestones are everywhere and so often we celebrate and mark their occasions with photography. Boudoir is no different. The images you receive from your boudoir experience are a great way to document any milestone. Plus there is no reason you can't do a boudoir experience just once! I say celebrate as often as you want!

#4 To Create a Unique Gift

Aren't we always searching for that next great gift for our significant other? It could be an upcoming wedding, anniversary, birthday, deployment, home form a deployment, honestly this list could go on for a while, so let's just cap it there. When it comes for finding that perfect gift for your significant other it can be hard, frustrating, and can start to feel a little cookie-cutter. Boudoir is a great way to mix it up. Just think about how shocked they will be when they open what they think is a normal photo album, but instead find the pages filled with images of the love of their life?! It might sound a little vain, but I promise it isn't. And believe it or not the gift you're giving is more than just a book or album, you are also giving them a part of you. AND you are giving yourself a gift too. The gift of confidence and embracing the you they see, but there is more about that later!

#3 Boudoir Photoshoots are Stress Free

The idea of a boudoir shoot and being in your panties in front of someone you don't know very well can sound intimidating, but it isn't as scary as it sounds, I promise. There is a reason why I like conducting pre-sessions over the phone or meeting for coffee, its because I want us to get to know each other. It is equally as important for you to know and be comfortable with me as it is for me to know you. The more we talk and get to know each other the more I am able to understand what look you are going for, and the more effective I can be at helping you embrace all the wonderful aspects of who you are. The photoshoots themselves are laid back and stress free. We get all that messy stress out of the way before shoot day.

#2 You Deserve to Do Something For You

How often are you guilty of focusing on everyone around you and not doing something just for you? I know I spend a lot of my time focusing on my daughter and husband. Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with that, but it is important to do something for yourself from time to time. A boudoir photography experience is a chance to really pamper yourself both physically and mentally. The shoot day itself starts with full hair and make up from one of the amazing professionals I've teamed up with and the entire experience ends with a live rival of the images that give you a boost in confidence unlike what you might be expecting. One of the highlights of my job is getting to hear amazing women be caught off guard with how amazing they look. It seriously is the best.

#1 For A Boost In Self Confidence

I've been hinting at it pretty obviously from the beginning, but boudoir is really all about you. It's empowering and good for you to see yourself through the camera lens. It doesn't always add ten pounds like downers want to make you believe. The boost you feel after a boudoir photography experience will trickle into other aspects of your life. A boost in confidence can make us feel unstoppable, and who doesn't want to be unstoppable. Plus lets face it the more we love ourselves the better we are at loving others. So if you're on the fence about boudoir, just remember it is all about you, and you deserve it!
